We have received the following from a research company who are working on a project with Macmillan cancer support looking into the experiences people living with cancer have in trying to claim benefits.
At the moment we are desperately trying to reach out to people living with cancer who claim Universal Credit, in the hope of finding some who will be willing to share their stories with us to contribute to this valuable project. In all honesty, we are really struggling to find people to participate and are reaching out to organisations such as yourself in the hope that you might be able to help us in some way. Any help at all would be hugely appreciated, whether this is by:
- Raising awareness of the project in support/ community groups or at events
- Sharing information of the project with linked organisations who may have contact with people living with cancer
- Displaying our poster (please see attached) either online, in a newsletter or in communal areas
- Speaking to people personally who you might know who might be interested in taking part
